COVID-19 Policies

Due to the shifting nature of the COVID-19 pandemic, these policies are subject to change.

Last updated: April 2nd, 2022.

Audience

Patrons of all ages must wear masks inside the theatre.  Masks must be properly fitted around the nose and mouth; gaiters and bandanas are not allowed.  Elision Playhouse provides a cash bar service for patrons, available before the show; patrons may remove their masks to consume beverages in the building lobby, but must re-mask before entering the theatre.  Beverages are not allowed in the theatre space.

Patrons 12 and over must provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination to be allowed into the building.  Forms of proof accepted include the physical vaccination card, a photograph of the card, or a digital vaccination record via smartphone app (such as Docket or MyChart).  Proof must include the name of the person vaccinated, the type of vaccine administered, and date of the last administered dose.

Patrons 12 and over who are not vaccinated must provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours prior to the performance.  Proof must include the name of the person tested, type of test performed, and date of negative test result.  Test records must be verified by a third-party health care provider; self-reported take-home tests are not accepted.  Aethem recommends visiting one of Minnesota’s free testing sites; learn more here: https://mn.gov/covid19/get-tested/testing-locations/index.jsp

Cast and Rehearsals

The cast and members of the production team will be masked from the start of rehearsals until tech week.  This is in accordance with the Phoenix Theater's current COVID-19 guidelines, which are subject to change.

Beginning the week before tech, cast members may be unmasked through the duration of performances.  The production team will continue to remain masked for the safety of the actors.
