Based on the novel by Jane Austen

Directed by Calli Kunz

June 9th-18th, 2017

Wellstone Center, St. Paul, MN

This world-premiere adaptation of Jane Austen’s final novel follows the love story of pragmatic Anne Elliot and passionate Captain Wentworth.  Eight years after their broken engagement, Anne and Wentworth are thrown together again, their situations reversed – he is wealthy, and her family is struggling to pay their debts.  Can such strong feelings survive eight years of separation?  Or will the weight of their past mistakes succeed in tearing the two lovers apart for good?

Aethem's innovative production combines lyrical movement with Austen's famously witty text to tell a heartfelt and often humorous story about love, loss, and the hope of second chances.

Featuring Audrey Johnson, Daniel Vinitsky, Kayla Dvorak Feld, Brendan Veerman, John Goodrich, Gina Sauer, Jamie Jachimiec, Ryan Maddux, Chelsey Grant, Brianna Regan, Mark Deel, Ben Heer, and Kayla Hambek.

Before. After. Never.

By Kayla Hambek

Directed by Evelyn Digirolamo

Movement Direction by Angela Van Epps

May 21st-22nd, 2012

Sabes JCC, St. Louis Park, MN

Inspired by J.M. Barrie's classic, Peter Pan, this ensemble-devised work offers a new perspective on some favorite characters and what happened to them both before and after their journey to Neverland.  Just as it balances scripted storytelling with Aethem's trademark movement, Before. After. Never. balances the whimsical nature of Barrie's tale with the story's often-overlooked darker elements.  Each character's journey, though fictional, contains universal themes that connect with the audience; everything from autism to lost love to an uncertainty of what the future holds.

Featuring Angela Van Epps, Austan Peterschick, Brendan Veerman, Chase Van Epps, Danielle Krivinchuk, Evie Digirolamo, Joe Digirolamo, Karen Elaine Massey, Kayla Hambek, Matt Anderson, Rachel Gryte, Seth Hambek, and Zach Schaeffer.
